Welcome from the Director General
The first Transforming Education Summit 2012 (TES'12) is expected to attract some of the world's most accomplished political, business, philanthropic leaders, current and former ministers of education and education experts.
The high profile event hosted by the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) aims to share lessons and successes learned, while providing hands-on insights into various leading education reforms.
TES'12 is in line with ADEC's recently completed P-12 and higher education strategic plans, which fully support the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030 to create a globally-competitive environment for our future youth.
I trust that this forum will have actionable outcomes and launch initiatives to help improve education systems around the world.
On behalf of ADEC, I welcome you to TES and wish you an enjoyable stay in Abu Dhabi. I look forward to working with you towards fostering sustainable education reform that will help change lives.
Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili
Director General, ADEC.
